A few details about the examination
Participants have two opportunities a year to take each examination.
Exam-format differs depending on the course; some will be purely multiple-choice questions (MCQ), whereas others may contain case study questions or open questions.
How to do
The examination will be provided via our online Moodle-based LMS platform. Upon registration for the examination, we will provide further details regarding what will be expected during the duration of the exam. Participants will also receive a step-by-step guide on how to complete this online exam.
Language
The examination is offered in English only. The time-limit for each examination is sufficient for the vast majority of candidates, including non-native English speakers. No points will be deducted due to possible grammar or language mistakes.
Examination re-sit
Participants will be offered the opportunity to complete one examination and re-sit for €150 in the next edition of that same training programme.
The Examination Board
The exam is under the supervision of an examination board. The examination board discusses the certification requirements and approves the overall review process. They aim to resolve any submitted certification appeals. The examination board consists of experts who have proven knowledge of, and practical expertise in, the field of public procurement, one of whom will serve as Chair.
Accreditation
Public procurement in the EU is a multi-billion euro sector, and obtaining EIPA’s certificate shows employers and other organisations the importance of acquiring the latest in-depth knowledge of EU public procurement laws and best practices to work in the field. EIPA has been awarded the Cedeo accreditation for the fourth time in a row by the Dutch independent certification authority for providers of training courses. The accreditation validifies EIPA’s promise of high quality and strict customer satisfaction in providing open course offerings, such as the ones mentioned in this certification process.
